Has anyone else had a vivid dream about a bright room between lives?

A childhood dream featured a vast, bright room, a classroom where past events seemed to play out, and figures described as past lives. The dream also carried a strong fear of losing memories and friends. How would you make sense of an experience like that?

I’d start with the feelings rather than deciding the room was a literal place. The fear of forgetting people, being shut out, or having to begin again could be the heart of the dream, even if its setting feels unusually specific.

Dreams can feel like memories without being reliable records of events outside the dream. If it’s useful, write down what you remember and separate the scene itself from the meaning you’re assigning to it. That leaves room to explore the experience without treating one explanation as proven.

A spiritual interpretation may feel meaningful to someone, especially when the dream has a sense of transition or familiar figures. I’d hold that as a personal possibility, not a conclusion. Guided imagery or other material encountered while awake could also shape the way a dream is built.
