Could asking for dream messages be making me overthink this?

I’ve recently begun devotional work with two deities and invite them to appear or send messages in dreams, but I’m remembering very little when I wake. Is there a way to work on recall, and should I take the blankness as a sign I’m doing something wrong?

Try treating this as a dream-recall issue first, not a test you’re failing. Keep a notebook or voice memo ready, and as soon as you wake, stay still for a moment and jot down even a mood, image, or fragment. A regular sleep schedule may help too. There’s no guarantee you’ll remember more, but small details count.

I wouldn’t read “I can’t remember” as proof that you did something wrong, or that a message was sent and missed. If the nightly invitation is starting to feel like pressure, you could pause it or make it gentler. You can also use your usual dice practice to ask what kind of communication feels useful, while staying open to an ordinary answer like “not through dreams.”
