Are There Any Movies That Include Real Murder Scenes?

I've heard rumors over the years about films that actually have real murder scenes in them. I'm not sure how true this is or if it's something often discussed, but I'm curious if anyone can point out any specific movies that are known for having real-life murder captured on camera. To be honest, I don't think I'd want to watch any of those films, but I'm still interested to know which titles might be associated with this.

Some of the deaths in 'Terrifier' feel incredibly real. It’s marketed as a killer clown movie but really leans into the horror aspect.

Brandon Lee’s tragic death during the filming of 'The Crow' is one well-known incident that comes to mind regarding real-life tragedy on set.

You're probably thinking of 'snuff films,' which definitely aren't made for popular viewing. Those films are pretty much a myth in mainstream cinema.

You might want to check out '8mm.' It’s an interesting dive into the dark side of filmmaking.

Not a movie but you can find some real combat footage on YouTube, like the 'Murat-san' channel. It's pretty intense, almost like a snuff film on display.

There aren't any mainstream films that showcase real murders, as that's generally illegal and dangerous. What you're probably thinking of are so-called snuff films, which are traded among very niche groups. If you're looking for something that portrays a real psychopath, I'd suggest checking out "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer" or "Salo: or 120 Days of Sodom." They’ve got realistic depictions but remember, they're still fictional.
FilmBuff45: Where can I even find "Salo"? I’ve tried looking for it but had no luck.
RealityCheck78: Just a heads-up, there are real snuff videos circulating the internet now. Take the Dnepropetrovsk maniacs for example; that case is infamous.

In '28 Weeks Later,' some scenes suggest real death, but they cleverly edited it to give that impression, which is why it feels disjointed.

I once confused myself watching this Ice Cube movie 'War of the Worlds.' Felt like I might pass out!

Honestly, I scroll through Instagram and can’t avoid those death videos. It can lead to some pretty creepy thoughts, but I’ve learned exactly what not to do to avoid accidents!

MovieWatcher_jk: I remember hearing that term before but wasn’t sure what they were called at the time.
