Hey folks! I'm new to tarot and recently found myself wondering about something interesting. Have any of you ever read the same question using two different decks while keeping the spread the same? I'm curious to know if you found consistency in the messages or if the decks offered completely different insights. I gave it a shot and noticed some overlaps but also some contradictions. Does that happen often? I'd really love to hear about your experiences!

I'm more inclined to use different decks in a single reading rather than asking the same question twice—it feels like a fun challenge to interpret what I see!
I've done this a few times, and I usually get pretty similar insights. Sometimes, I even find a new perspective on the same answer, which can be pretty enlightening!
Yes! While learning about my two decks (one is RWS and the other is the Light Seer's deck), I often do the same spread with both. I make sure to set the intention for both learning and asking my question. I find that at least one card often shows up in both readings, although there can be contradictions. Those contradictions really get me thinking about the shadow aspects of the cards!
Absolutely! It's intriguing to see if you can connect the dots and find a common thread in different readings, each with different phrasing or perspectives.
When you ask the same question to two different decks, the insights you get might not be about the cards themselves but more about your own mindset at the time. Each deck has its own unique language. If one reading contradicts the other, it might actually reflect the tension between your desires and fears, rather than just confusion. Repeating the question can sometimes simply reinforce what you already feel, offering a different way to look at the need for clarity.
That's such a thoughtful way to view it! It's fascinating how intuitive tarot can be.
