Would doing the LIRP in someone else’s home help my finances?

I’m going through a financial rough patch and sometimes stay in wealthy acquaintances’ homes or hotels. Would doing the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram there, with the intention of drawing on their abundance, make sense?

I wouldn’t count on a ritual transferring someone else’s money or luck to you. The LIRP is generally used as a ritual of focus and symbolic protection, not as a reliable way to change another person’s finances. You could use it to steady yourself while setting an intention around your own goals instead.

The setting matters ethically, even if you see the ritual as symbolic. You’re a guest, so doing a private practice aimed at taking from the person whose home it is could feel like crossing a boundary. If you want to perform the ritual, keep the intention about your own clarity or opportunities, and respect the household’s rules.

For a money problem, pair whatever spiritual practice is meaningful to you with steps that can change the numbers: check immediate expenses, look for assistance you qualify for, and make a concrete plan for income or debt. A ritual might help you focus, but it can’t substitute for those practical moves.
