I’m a teenager living with very Christian parents, and they don’t allow occult practice. Is it better to wait until I’m older, or are there ways to explore the subject without causing trouble at home?
Should I wait to explore occult practice until I move out?

If practicing would put you at risk of punishment or make home life much worse, waiting on rituals seems sensible. You can still learn about different traditions through books or other material that’s allowed in your home, and decide later what you actually want to practice.

You don’t have to choose between secretly doing everything and giving up all interest. Reading, keeping private notes if that’s safe for you, or studying the history and ideas can be low-key ways to explore. I’d avoid anything that depends on hiding objects, breaking household rules, or making a situation tense.

Also, try to separate curiosity from pressure to start right away. There’s no deadline. If your interest sticks around, you can revisit hands-on practice when you have more privacy and control over your own space. For now, keep your safety and relationship with your parents in view.

That makes sense. I’m mostly curious and don’t want to turn this into a fight at home.
