How do you sort real corruption from a suspicious-looking pattern?

I’m looking into claims about government corruption and deaths that seem connected, including claims about scientists. How can I check what’s documented without jumping to conclusions?

Start with one specific case, not a whole collection of deaths. Check whether the person’s identity, date, and cause of death are confirmed by reliable reporting or public records. Then ask what evidence actually connects that death to government activity. Timing alone can feel striking, but it doesn’t establish a link.

A simple timeline can help, as long as you record where each detail came from and mark anything that’s still unverified.

Secrecy and corruption can happen, but a strong claim needs a specific mechanism and evidence for it. Look for documents, independently verified reporting, or named investigations that support the same key details. Be cautious with posts that group unrelated deaths together or treat missing information as proof of a cover-up.

I’d also look for the boring explanations before settling on a dramatic one. Ask how many people are included in the claim, what time period it covers, and whether the selection leaves out cases that don’t fit. If the claim stays vague about who, when, and what evidence, there may not be enough to evaluate it yet.
