How can I tell if a medical intuitive is genuine or just pretending?

Hey everyone, I'm currently bedridden and feeling really desperate and vulnerable due to my ongoing health issues. I've had personal experience with energy work, so I know it can be real. Recently, I decided to try a medical intuitive session, but I'm feeling skeptical about whether I was duped. My health challenges include a severe adrenaline-related nervous system disorder along with hormonal and gut problems. During the session, this practitioner claimed she could communicate directly with my body and also mentioned being psychic. I filled out a form detailing my diagnoses and health issues beforehand, but she started asking me questions first before sharing insights about my body, which struck me as suspicious. For instance, she asked about having any scans on my adrenals and then told me I had an overgrowth there. I already mentioned having adrenal issues, so it felt like she was just confirming what I said. This left me uncertain because I came to her seeking answers that I couldn't get from traditional Western medicine. Now I'm worried that if I go for a scan and everything comes back normal, it might mean she was just full of it. Any advice or insights would be appreciated since going to the hospital is quite a challenge for me, and I'm feeling like I have to place my trust in her expertise despite my doubts.

It feels like adrenal issues are everyone's go-to diagnosis these days! But given your situation with adrenaline dysautonomia, it makes sense that they’d focus there. Just remember, your body's signals are complex, and many can end up being misinterpreted.

curious.Nomad: Haha, right? I should’ve mentioned that my main problem revolves around the adrenals, but I completely understand your point. It does feel like it’s become a catch-all lately.

Honestly, it's tough to find anyone in this field who doesn't recommend seeing medical professionals and getting scientific imaging done for health concerns. I don't see why a legitimate intuitive wouldn't combine both, so that gives me some pause about her methods here. It doesn't seem right to fish for info before making claims without verifying them scientifically too.

mindful.researcher: Exactly! It's all about finding a balance between the two. If she had really tuned in before asking, it should have shown without needing info from you first.

When you visit a standard doctor, they ask questions to narrow down your symptoms, right? So why should a medical intuitive be expected to do it any differently? It's not clear-cut like you might hope. But hey, I understand your frustration; you just spent a lot on this. It's okay to feel doubtful.

curious.Nomad: Absolutely! I just wish the approach was clearer, especially since I had already provided so much info through the initial form.

I get why you're skeptical. However, maybe she did tune in before asking those questions and wanted your confirmation just to be safe. It's not as straightforward as it seems, you know? If you ever want to find someone better, I can recommend another intuitive who I trust. Just let me know!

curious.Nomad: Thanks a lot! I truly appreciate that. I’m just worried about whether she really picked up on anything significant.
