I’ve been reading about Ilm al-Raml and its later European forms. The idea of a final figure giving a clear verdict sounds pretty blunt. Does that make geomancy feel more honest to you, or is it just a different style of interpretation?
Does geomancy feel more direct than other divination?

Direct isn’t the same as honest, though I can see why a system with a defined final figure might feel less open-ended. A firm answer can still be wrong, and the reader still has choices in how they frame the question and interpret the result.

I’d be careful about treating “Arabic tradition” and “Agrippa version” as two simple, uniform things. If you want to know whether they read differently, compare the actual instructions and interpretations in the texts you’re using, rather than assuming one is automatically blunter or more authentic.

The useful test is probably whether the method gives you a consistent reading, not whether it sounds severe. Keep a record of the question, the result, and what happened later. That won’t prove divination works, but it can show whether the process feels clear and useful to you.
