I came across an intriguing claim that Stanley Kubrick actually finished directing the movie 'Being There'. Has anyone else heard of this theory? I saw a YouTube video a while back that made a pretty convincing argument, but unfortunately, it was taken down. I'd love to know if anyone else has seen it or has any thoughts on this theory!

Yeah, it's definitely a wild claim! I think the discussion around directors' influences and unseen connections always leads to these kinds of theories. Some of the points you mentioned—like the music parallels and specific shots—really make you think about how directors might subconsciously influence each other's work. I'd love to see that video if it ever resurfaces!

I hadn't heard of that theory until now, but it sounds like a fascinating take! The nods to Kubrick's style you mentioned could really support the idea. It's like there's this subtle connection, especially with the use of Peter Sellers and those visual similarities. If there's a video detailing all the points, I bet it would make for an interesting watch!
