After a house fire, a cat that had been missing for months turned up alive the day after someone asked for the cat to come back during a spiritual practice. How would you make sense of that timing without dismissing its meaning or treating it as proof of magic?
Could this really count as a sign, or was it an incredible coincidence?

I can see why someone might experience this as a sign. The timing and the personal meaning are real parts of the story, even if they can’t establish what caused the cat to return. A spiritual interpretation and uncertainty about the explanation can sit side by side.

It’s an astonishing coincidence, but coincidence is still a possible explanation. The cat was missing, not known to be gone for certain, and was eventually found. There isn’t enough here to tell whether the request had anything to do with it.

I’d be careful not to let the question of magic turn into blame about the fire. In a crisis, people make choices with the information and seconds they have. A cat’s unexpected return can be precious without making anyone responsible for what happened before.
