I saw a claim that a UK wildfire warning was secretly testing alerts for a possible Russian strike. What evidence would actually support that, rather than an ordinary warning about fire risk?
Could that wildfire warning really have been a rehearsal for an attack?

The claim alone doesn’t establish that. A warning about wildfire conditions has an ordinary explanation, and finding it suspicious isn’t evidence of a military purpose. I’d look for reliable documentation that the alert was connected to a security exercise, or independent reporting that confirms that link. Without something like that, the strike-rehearsal idea remains speculation.

I’d separate two questions: was the alert reasonable for the stated fire risk, and was it also part of a military test? The first can be judged against the conditions and the official explanation. The second needs its own evidence, such as records of an exercise or credible corroboration. One doesn’t prove the other.

So the key question is whether there’s evidence beyond the wording seeming odd. That makes sense.
