How would you make sense of a scrying session where a face seemed to appear in shower tiles, followed later by a guest noticing a shadow in the house? The person stopped practicing and did a cleansing, after which the experiences seemed to settle. What explanations or next steps seem reasonable?
Could scrying explain seeing a face in the tiles?

Staring at uneven patterns for a while can make familiar shapes seem to appear, especially faces. Once you expect to see something, it can be hard to stop noticing it, and dim or changing light can add to the effect. That doesn’t prove what happened, but it’s a plausible explanation for the tile image.
I’d pause the exercise if it’s frightening. If similar sights keep happening outside of it, or start affecting sleep or daily life, consider checking the lighting and your vision, and talking with a health professional.

If someone understands scrying spiritually, they may find the experience meaningful. Still, one unsettling image and a passing shadow don’t establish that anything malicious entered the home. I’d avoid turning uncertainty into a frightening conclusion.
Taking a break, grounding yourself, or doing a harmless ritual that feels reassuring is fine. Treat the ritual as comfort, not as proof of what caused the experience.

I’d check the ordinary stuff before deciding it was paranormal. Look at the shower and hallway lighting from different angles, and see whether shadows move when a door opens or someone passes by. A guest can genuinely notice a shape without that telling you what made it.
Stopping the practice and feeling calmer afterward matters as a practical result, even if it doesn’t settle the cause. No need to keep testing yourself with something that’s making you uneasy.
