Technology has changed dramatically in a relatively short period. Is there any good evidence that an advanced civilization existed before ours and was deliberately wiped out, or are there more ordinary reasons progress accelerated?
Could fast technological progress mean civilization has been reset before?

There’s no strong evidence for a previous industrial civilization or an orchestrated reset. A claim like that would need traces such as widespread manufactured materials, mining, or infrastructure in older archaeological layers. The evidence we do have shows human technologies changing over time, though gaps in the record mean some details can be lost.

Progress can look sudden when each new development builds on earlier ones. Better tools, organized research, energy sources, and communication let discoveries spread and lead to more discoveries. The jump from early aviation to modern aircraft is striking, but it doesn’t by itself point to a hidden civilization or a planned reset.
