I made a self-love jar to help with self-criticism and have noticed more confidence, but also a new feeling of neediness. Could the jar be contributing, or might something else be going on?
Could a self-love jar be making me feel too needy?
Answers
There isn't a reliable way to measure a jar's potency, so I wouldn't assume it caused the change. Paying closer attention to self-worth can bring other feelings into focus too, including wanting reassurance or company. It may help to notice when the neediness shows up and what you need in those moments.

If the jar feels uncomfortable, you can change how you relate to it. Move it somewhere less prominent, take a break from keeping it nearby, or adjust your intention toward self-respect and steadiness. You don't have to treat an unsettling effect as proof that anything has gone wrong.

Confidence and wanting closeness can exist together. Try separating the feeling from the label: are you asking for reasonable connection, or feeling unable to settle without someone else's reassurance? A little journaling could help you see whether this is a passing shift or a pattern worth addressing directly.
