Do animals seem to sense spirits or entities during an invocation, or might they be reacting to something else?
Can pets tell when you’re invoking something?

A pet acting differently can be unsettling, but the behavior alone can’t show what caused it. Animals may respond to changes in your voice, movements, routine, or the room. That leaves room for a personal spiritual interpretation, but it isn’t proof that an entity is present.

If your spiritual practice gives the moment meaning, you might notice your pet’s behavior as part of that experience. I’d still keep the observation separate from the conclusion: a stare, a bark, or leaving the room doesn’t identify what the animal sensed.

Whatever you believe is happening, let the animal choose whether to stay nearby. Give them an easy way out, and pause if they seem frightened or unusually unsettled. Their comfort matters more than trying to make them participate.
