I’m new to pendulum work and wondering whether people think it can be used to contact a pet. I’ve seen mixed answers and would like a grounded perspective.
Can a pendulum be used to reach a pet who has died?

Some spiritual traditions leave room for that, so if it fits your beliefs, you could treat it as a personal ritual or a way to reflect on your bond. I wouldn’t take a yes-or-no swing as proof that a pet has answered, though. Pendulum movements can be subtle and are easy to interpret through what we’re hoping for.

There’s no reliable way to confirm that a pendulum is communicating with a deceased animal. Small, often unconscious hand movements can make it move, and expectations can shape how the result feels. If you try it, I’d frame it as reflection rather than a definite message.

If this question comes from missing a pet, you don’t need a pendulum to honor that connection. Looking through photos, writing down favorite memories, or setting aside a small quiet moment can be meaningful without asking the movement to settle something you can’t verify.
