Three of us saw a small, stocky, pale figure moving on two legs near a road in Ontario before it went into a ditch. We couldn’t match it to an animal we recognized. What details or ordinary explanations should we consider?
Any idea what this little creature could have been?

A brief, odd view can make an animal’s posture look much stranger than it is. I’d keep an unusual movement, an awkward angle, or a partly hidden animal on the table before deciding it was something unknown.

The useful clues would be the viewing conditions: how far away it was, how long you saw it, how bright it was, and whether you could make out feet, a tail, or a particular way it moved. Those details can help narrow down an animal far more than its overall resemblance to a character.
Even several people agreeing on the shape doesn’t settle what it was. You may all have seen the same thing, while still having limited detail to identify it. Without a clear image or more observations, I’d call it unidentified rather than assign it a species.

I’d check the practical clues first. If there were tracks, fur, or a clear direction it went, those might help, but don’t approach or corner an animal to get a better look. A small animal moving oddly could also be injured, so keep some distance and contact local wildlife services if it seems to need help.
