I saw a light cross the sky, change direction abruptly, then disappear. Later, another light seemed to brighten before vanishing. I found it striking, but I’m not sure what to make of it. How would you think it through?
A light made a sharp turn while I was stargazing. What might explain it?

I’d keep the observation separate from the explanation: you saw a light that appeared to move strangely and then disappear. That experience can feel vivid without telling us what the light was or why it moved.
From one account, there isn’t enough to identify it. Apparent motion and distance are hard to judge in a dark sky, so ordinary possibilities such as an aircraft, satellite, meteor, or a visual effect are worth considering too.

If it felt meaningful to you, you don’t have to dismiss that feeling. I’d just be cautious about treating the timing or movement as proof that the light heard a request. The experience and the interpretation are two different things.

For a clearer read next time, jot down the time, direction, how long it lasted, and what it seemed to do before the details blur. A sketch can help too. If someone else is there, ask what they noticed before sharing your interpretation, so you can compare observations.
