Are Demons Truly Dangerous or Just a Misunderstood Part of Ourselves?

Asked By CuriousWanderer92 On

I've noticed a lot of discussions in the spiritual community about demons, often portraying them as terrifying entities that should be feared, commanded, or avoided. However, my own experiences have led me to see them differently. For me, demons are not external beings to be scared of, but rather elements of my own shadow and psyche that I work to understand and integrate. I don't use any traditional grimoires or follow strict protocols; my practice is entirely intuitive and focused on personal experience. Over the past 11 months, I've worked with several figures from the Ars Goetia, including Lilith and Duchess Bune, and have yet to have a dangerous or chaotic encounter. So I'm curious about your thoughts: do you consider demons dangerous? If so, why? What experiences have shaped your perspective? I'd love to hear your actual stories and thoughts rather than blanket assumptions!

While I understand where you're coming from, I can't help but caution against being too dismissive of potential dangers. There are indeed accounts of people experiencing adverse effects when engaging with spirits they did not fully understand. Just because you’ve had good experiences doesn’t mean that danger isn’t a real possibility for others, especially those who don't approach with the same mindset.

I appreciate your perspective! It’s always good to keep a healthy level of caution while exploring this stuff.

It’s super important to have a solid psychological grounding when diving into spiritual practices. While there are definitely scary stories about goetic spirits, I haven’t found them to be plausible from my experience. If you approach these practices with the right mindset and respect, there's a lot more insight to gain than danger to encounter. Honestly, I’ve found that working with these entities is mostly about understanding and integration, rather than fear.

Totally agree! If you come from a place of integrity and awareness, the fear stories don't really apply. It's all about respecting the process.

In my view, demons are simply misunderstood entities. They’re often portrayed as chaotic or dangerous, which only perpetuates fear and misunderstanding. Working with demons has provided me with personal insights that were incredibly transformative. If you engage with them openly and with respect, they can be beneficial rather than harmful.

Absolutely! It’s amazing how much value can come from these connections when viewed as learning experiences.

I think we need to recognize that demons can be aspects of our own psyche and also independent entities. Some practices can be misguided if someone isn’t grounded in their own understanding; trying to evoke powerful energies without proper preparation can indeed lead to trouble. It's crucial to confront your own internal struggles first before playing with these forces.

That makes sense! It’s all about personal readiness and understanding your own motivations before delving deeper.

It’s interesting how we've been conditioned to view demons as evil. Many entities were once revered in their own cultures and can offer insights if approached thoughtfully. I've personally summoned a few and found that they respond well to genuine curiosity and respect. They can bring clarity rather than chaos if you integrate the experience with self-awareness.

ShadowDancer -

Exactly! I've had positive experiences too, and it's refreshing to hear others see the value in these entities without fear.
