Struggling with Cord Cutting Rituals?

Asked By starryEyedDreamer On

Hey everyone! I recently tried to perform a cord cutting ritual with a person I see as my divine counterpart—though we're not together. I've been waiting for them to sort out their life. However, nothing seemed to go right during the ritual. The candles I set up wouldn't stay upright no matter how I lit or glued them; they kept falling. When I finally managed to stabilize them, the rope wouldn't hold. Lighting the candles was a struggle too, as none of my lighters would spark even after 25 minutes of trying! I'm curious if this might be some kind of divine interference or just a bad day for doing this. Plus, can I reuse the candles once I've set an intention with them?

Grounding yourself could really help! Plus, I suggest trying some candle adhesive for better stability next time. Just remember that this cutting is about your intention. If you're still thinking of this person as your divine counterpart, it's tough to fully let go. You might want to do some deep reflection on why you feel that way and how to move forward.

If you want to reuse the candles, just cleanse them first! But I would consider waiting for another day to try again, maybe get a fresh lighter too. If it still doesn’t work with new candles, then maybe you really do have some divine intervention at play, but I feel like it might just be some bad luck too. Don't be too hard on yourself about this!

Looks like those candles weren’t meant to be used this time around! It’s definitely a sign that either the method's off or the timing isn't right. Your ritual seems to lean more toward divination than actually cutting the cord. Maybe some spiritual cleansing would help? It’s important to check in with your guides and see what they might suggest.

Honestly, you can totally do a cord cutting without candles! Just take some scissors and cut the cord as an active gesture. About the divine counterpart thing—you might need to shift your mindset if you're still holding on to hope for a connection. The language you're using sounds more like you're keeping that bond alive rather than truly wanting to cut it.

It sounds like maybe your ritual was more of a cord burning than a proper cutting! I recommend using scissors to physically sever ties. Just grab a cord, assign one end to you and the other to the other person, cut it in the middle, and the connection is broken! As for the weird mishaps, it could just be a coincidence. Maybe the timing wasn’t right for you to perform that ritual?
