Any idea why my ear ringing has become constant?

I used to notice brief ringing now and then, sometimes around important decisions or after doing guided audio exercises. This week it has been much more constant and is happening in both ears. Is there a way to make sense of that change?

Ringing can happen for lots of reasons, including noise exposure, hearing changes, earwax, or medication effects. There isn’t good evidence that it signals an important moment or that guided exercises cause a particular meaning. Since it has become persistent, booking a routine check with a health professional or hearing specialist would be sensible.

The timing may feel connected, but it can be hard to tell whether an activity is causing the ringing or you’re simply noticing it more afterward. You could note when it changes, how long it lasts, and whether sound exposure, sleep, or any medication changes line up. Keep audio at a comfortable, low volume, and don’t stop prescribed medicine without checking with a clinician.

If you suddenly lose hearing, seek urgent medical care rather than waiting for a routine appointment. Ringing that pulses in time with your heartbeat, or comes with significant dizziness or other new symptoms, is also worth prompt medical advice.
